Chiropractor

Dr. Jason Gemmer, DC

Dr. Jason is an Arizona native, born in Tucson and grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. He attended the University of Las Vegas Nevada and then transferred to the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta Canada where he received his Bachelor's in Physical Education.

While working on his degree in Canada, Dr. Gemmer was a strength and conditioning specialist, boxing coach and mentor for amateur/professional boxers and MMA fighters. Although Dr. Gemmer is passionate about the coaching aspect, he knew that there was much more that he wanted to pursue in life not only for himself, but to offer a healthier path for his athletes.

Through searching for the next step, he moved to San Jose, California to attend Palmer West College of Chiropractic where he received his Doctorate in Chiropractic. This is where Dr. Gemmer found his true passion and purpose, which was to give back and educate athletes as well as the general population about not only physical fitness, but the importance of proper body mechanics, muscle recovery and full-body rejuvenation.

Dr. Cameron Call, DC

Dr. Cameron Call graduated from Parker University in 2015 after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University. His passion lies in helping individuals enjoy a life unrestricted by chronic health conditions.

Dr. Jonathan Hahn, DC

Dr. Jonathan Hahn is a Doctor of Chiropractic who grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bowling Green State University and went on to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating summa cum laude.

Dr. Hahn takes a comprehensive, movement focused approach to care and is passionate about helping patients improve function and return to the activities they enjoy. He has gained valuable experience through clinical training, seminars, and working with elite level athletes.

He enjoys being part of the team at Axis Sport and Spine, where he collaborates with like minded professionals to provide personalized care and help patients perform at their best.

General Manager

Irais L.

Irais was born in Arizona and has always had a strong passion for athletics and discipline. Growing up, he spent much of his time playing soccer and training in mixed martial arts and professional wrestling, experiences that helped shape his work ethic and team-first mindset.

He has been working in the healthcare field for over five years and has experience in every position within the office, giving him a well-rounded understanding of daily operations and patient care. He takes pride in being part of a team at Axis that feels like family and values the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives every day.

Outside of work, Irais continues to train in MMA and pursues his creative passion through his Lucha Libre mask business, blending athletic discipline with artistic expression.

Mackenzie, originally from Vermont and now rooted in Tucson, Arizona, brings a warm and genuine presence to the Axis Spine and Sport – Tempe team. She values being part of a culture of care that supports both patients and coworkers, and takes pride in contributing to each patient’s journey back to feeling their best.

Mya was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She enjoys hiking, reading, baking, attending live music events, and traveling in her free time. She studied at Northern Arizona University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science.

Kelly has been a licensed massage therapist in the state of Arizona for over 6 years. She is passionate about helping people manage pain and discomfort while promoting a sense of peace and balance within the mind and body.

Laura V.L.

Laura was born in Colombia and has been living in the United States since the age of 10. She is currently attending Arizona State University, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.

She enjoys spending her free time going on road trips, dancing, and making memories with her family. Laura is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive environment for every patient and takes pride in helping individuals feel safe and cared for. One of her favorite parts of her role is witnessing patients’ progress from their first visit through the completion of their treatment. She also values the friendly, calm atmosphere of the team, which makes coming to work each day especially rewarding.

Sky is originally from Southern California and relocated to Arizona in September 2024. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, driven by a passion for supporting and connecting with others.

Outside of school and work, Sky enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time outdoors through hiking, lake days, and exploring the diverse landscapes Arizona has to offer. At Axis Spine and Sport – Tempe, she values the opportunity to build meaningful connections with both patients and coworkers, creating a positive and welcoming environment filled with laughter, support, and memorable experiences.
